Information stored on your device
Storyline stores imported audio files, book details and artwork, listening progress, bookmarks and notes, and collections on the device where you use the app. These items are used to provide the player and library features. Storyline does not send this library data to a Storyline server or sync it between devices.
Storyline can create a ZIP backup of your library when you request one. You choose where to save or share that backup. Anyone with access to a backup may be able to access its contents.
Trial and purchase
The optional seven-day trial starts only after you choose to start it. The start date is stored in the device’s Keychain. It is not a subscription and does not automatically charge you. A lifetime listening unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Storyline does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your App Store settings.
Information we receive
Storyline does not require an account and does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not send your library, imported audio, listening history or bookmarks to us. If you contact support by email, we receive the email address and the message you choose to send so we can respond.
Retention and deletion
Your library and app settings remain on your device until you remove them in the app, delete the app or erase the device. If you created a backup outside the app, you can delete that file from the location where you saved it. If you emailed support, contact us to ask about deletion of that support conversation; some records may need to be retained where required by law.
Children
Storyline is a general-purpose audiobook player and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Since the app does not require an account or collect library data on a server, the library remains on the user’s device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Storyline’s features or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
